Biography

Oleg’s musical journey began in Lviv, Ukraine,where he started playing the flute and piano at a young age. He graduated from the Solomia Krushelnytska Lviv Special Music School before earning his degree in flute and orchestral conducting from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in 2008. Throughout his studies, Oleg honed his skills through masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Emmanuel Pahud, Andras Adorjan, Andrea Lieberknecht, Wissam Boustany, Valentin Zverev, Yuriy Dolzhikov, and others, earning laurels in several competitions.

Oleg has had an illustrious career as principal flutist of the Ukrainian National Symphony Orchestra. He has toured 24 countries in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, performing with renowned orchestras and making critically acclaimed recordings. His flute playing is charismatic, passionate and expressive, and has won him the love and admiration of his fans.

At the same time, as an outstanding conductor and soloist, he maintains close cooperation with major Ukrainian orchestras such as the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra and the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra, and actively participates in the activities of the world’s leading music festivals. His conducting style is unique, full of enthusiasm and energy, and he is able to accurately interpret the emotions and moods of musical works, presenting the audience with the ultimate artistic enjoyment.

In addition to his outstanding achievements in the field of music, Oleg serves as an assistant professor at the Tchaikovsky National Conservatory of Music in Ukraine, where he is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of musical talent. He has been actively involved in the development of classical music programs and has made significant contributions to the promotion of classical music. In addition, Oleg has curated numerous concerts, tours, international festivals, competitions and youth programs in China and Ukraine, bringing new energy and innovation to the music scene.

In 2016, Oleg decided to move to China to start a new chapter in his career, as he was looking for a challenge and space to expand his career. At the Kunming Academy of the Arts, he contributes to the Academy’s music education program as Professor of Flute and Artistic Advisor. He not only played a key role in the formation of the Kunming International Philharmonic Orchestra, but also held the positions of orchestra’s Vice-President, Manager and Associate Conductor from 2017 to 2022. He then joined the Shanghai Nine Trees Philharmonic Orchestra in 2022, injecting new energy and innovation into the orchestra.
