Biography

Karol Marianowski is a highly acclaimed Polish cellist, recognized as one of the most outstanding cellists of his generation. He received his education from prestigious institutions such as the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, The Boston Conservatory, Universität der Künste in Berlin, Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia, and Chapelle Musicale Reine Elizabeth in Brussels. Throughout his career, he has been influenced by renowned cello mentors like Ivan Monighetti, Tobias Kühne, Daniil Shafran, and others.

For over a decade, Karol was a member of the Meccore String Quartet, and since 2018, he has continued his chamber music activities with the Boarte Piano Trio. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed in prestigious concert halls and festivals worldwide, including the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw, Beethoven-Haus in Bonn, Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, Wigmore Hall in London, and Musikverein in Vienna.

In addition, Carroll is passionate about teaching and has been a teacher of cello courses at the Chopin Music School in Warsaw and at the Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. He has also recorded numerous TV and radio programs and has received several awards for his CD recordings of quartets. Currently, he is a member of the Szymanowski Quartet.
