The Milan Duo is composed of two outstanding musicians, Daniele Defranchis and Ivo Martinenghi, graduates of the leading music academies in Milan, Italy. They met in 2021 in Dalian, Liaoning province, and decided to join forces to form a duo. Faced with the challenge of a scarcity of repertoire for guitar and cello combination, they actively searched for and composed their own adaptations, thus becoming China’s first permanent guitar-cello duo, whose unique sound and innovative repertoire won the hearts of their audiences.
